Valentine's Day

We celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary on Saturday. I love how "simple" we are but very loving! We had dinner at The Sweet Tomato. The only thing I wish we would have done was take at least one photo..but we didn't. Oh well...I'll get one this week. Work is going great-I'm waiting for training until then I'm just filing and scheduling. I also had a 3 day weekend-did lots of errands, cleaning, and grocery shopping. God Bless you. 2009 Update

I hope all of you are having a wonderful New Year! I feel like I am! I know I'm truly blessed! My New Year's Resolutions 1. Faith My word for this year {inspired by Ali Edwards} is FAITH. I plan to nurture my FAITH by: Praying. Attending Church. Reading my Bible. Basically- bringing God more into my life than I have in the past. Making him number one in my life. Amen! 2. Career {nurturing my social work skills} Last year I set a goal to go back to work as a social worker. I had some smaller goals and I'm happy to announce that I achieved them. Woohoo! On Jan. 6th-I was offered a job with the Department of Health and Human Services as a Welfare Worker. Believe it or not I'm VERY EXCITED about this job-I feel it will be a great resume builder and I plan to beat the "stereotype" of what Welfare workers are like. I plan to greet my clients with a genuine smile and a compassionate "hello". 3. Designing {Playful} More Patterns. More doodles. More paint. More scribbles. More authentic designs. More Hybrid. I can't wait to share! 4. Scrapbooking {Thank you God} I plan to use God as my central theme in my layouts this year. He truly inspires me to play and record my thoughts, memories, and love for life! 5. Healthier Me continue losing weight with Weight Watchers. take my medicine. see my doctor on a regular basis. exercise at the gym (swimming & doing the hamster walk on the treadmill). So here I go.........
